This is NOT a personal attack on anyone. I feel that I must make the following comments in the best interest of consumerism. I have given Z1 a small amount of bussiness over the last two years (~$6k) and wish them continued success in their operations. My personal experiences with them have been bad and unrecognized. 1) They broke the pass. turbo dp stud off (the one on top) and so there are only 3 of the 4 bolts holding the dp on. I can not simply thread in a bolt b/c it needs a stud. There is an annoying and health hazardous exhaust leak there. I understand that they will break, with age and rust. That is not the problem. I was never told, and that is the issue. I found this problem when replacing the pass. turbo coolant line. 2) They left the pass. side t-rod bolt off (the one on the end) when installing adj. t-rods. Dangerous? 3) After putting on test pipes, they kept my stock cats. I did not ask to keep them at the time b/c I did not know they were worth any significant amount of money. When I needed a set of cats, they were willing to sell me a used set for ~$300. In the name of good bussiness they should have asked me if I wanted to keep the cats or offered a small amount of money for them. After all, they are selling something they got for free from me for $300. 4) I ordered the $145 test pipes form Z1 online. My credit card was charged and the order was processed. I specifically requested to be notified of when the order would be shipped and if in stock. Nothing happened, no e-mail. I had to call Z1, get the run around, and eventually be told that they were not in stock and would be in sometime soon . Even if it was the case that they needed me to prepay for the test pipes, that would be o.k. as long as I was told such. Imagine paying for something online and the seller giving you the cold shoulder -nothing about the status or ship date.I have never been able to get a hold of Russell, as he is the only one who can do anything to fix any of this (as I've been told). When I've called, he's NEVER been there. No e-mail contact for him, nothing. I personally like Z1's wide selction, affordability, knowledge, innovation, and large staff. And I love the Z32. It's sad that they don't understand what customer service and satisfaction are -sad for me, too, b/c I am missing out on their expertise and products. They could make double what they are now if they tried. Maybe Russell doesn't know that his employees are ruining his bussiness. And maybe he does know but doesn't care b/c he's making enough money on his big jobs.
